Chancroid

Chancroid is a bacterial infection that is spread only through sexual contact. It is caused by a type of bacteria known as Haemophilus ducreyi. The infection is found mainly in developing or third world countries. Very few people are diagnosed in the U.S. each year with this infection. However, chancroid can be contracted through travel.
