Legionellosis
Legionnaires’ disease is caused by a type of bacteria called Legionella. The Legionella bacteria are found naturally in the environment, usually in water. The bacteria grow best in warm water. The symptoms are flu-like, including a loss of appetite, muscle aches, headache, and tiredness, followed by a rising fever and chills within 24 hours. It typically lasts 2-10 days.
