Trichinellosis

Trichinellosis, also called trichinosis, is a disease that people can get by eating raw or undercooked meat from animals infected with the microscopic parasite Trichinella. Persons with trichinosis usually have nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, fever and abdominal discomfort. Headache, fever, chills, cough, eye swelling, aching joints and muscle pain, itchy skin, diarrhea, or constipation follow the first symptoms. If the infection is severe, you may experience difficulty moving, and have heart and breathing problems, and in very severe cases, death can occur.
