Enterovirus

Enterovirus is one of more than 100 non-polio enteroviruses. It can cause mild to severe respiratory illness. Mild symptoms include fever, runny nose, sneezing and cough. Other symptoms may include difficulty breathing.

Enterovirus is a respiratory illness, which can spread by close contact with an infected individual. Those who are sick prior to infection or who have weakened immune systems are at further risk of additional complications with Enterovirus, including paralyzation and infection of the brain and heart.
