Norovirus

Norovirus is a very contagious virus. Anyone can get infected and sick with norovirus. You can get norovirus from having direct contact with an infected person, consuming contaminated food or water, and touching contaminated surfaces then putting your unwashed hands in your mouth. The most common symptoms of norovirus are diarrhea, vomiting, nausea and stomach pain. Symptoms usually develop 12 to 48 hours after being exposed to norovirus. Most people with norovirus illness get better within 1 to 3 days.
